It’s a question I’m often asked, and Canon digital cameras are certainly up there with the best every time. If you look at any of the product review sites for digital cameras, such as dpreview, you’ll find that users and reviewers alike rate Canon cameras highly.
Nikon, Olympus and Sony are up there too of course, and to some extent it’s very much a matter of personal preference as they all give stunning results, price for price and each brand has its devotees who wouldn’t use anything else.
I must admit that I’m a big fan of Canon digital cameras, having tried them all from the entry level jobs at £50 right through to the Canon digital slrs which are more or less professional models. The design and feel of their cameras just seems to fit with the way I use them.
The Canon EOS450D is a favourite of mine. It’s an entry level digital slr camera, which means that it’s got all the features the regular user will ever need and more, at a price that’s incredibly low.
A huge 3 inch lcd monitor and continuous shooting rate of 3.5 frames per second are just two of the highlights that make this all the digital camera you’ll ever need.
Unless of course you want something you can put in your pocket. And this is where my absolute favourite the Canon Powershot SX100 IS comes into its own. Truly pocketable, it boasts brilliant picture quality and an amazing 10x optical zoom for a giveaway price of around £150.
You won’t find better. (But then as I said I’m a big fan of Canon digital cameras:))
